Voltage modulated torque control for high power motors

Hi,

With using torque voltage control, by modulating voltage it allows us to modulate torque since voltage is proportional to current which is proportional to torque. In the docs (Torque control | Arduino-FOC ) it explains this very well however it also says that it only works for currents <5A:

I was wondering why this constraint exists and if anyone has had experience running this kind of voltage torque control on higher current motors (paired with a high current inverter) i.e. drone motors.

Thanks.
