Minimum Motor Internal Resistance

I’m looking to use a IPower GM3506 Gimbal Motor w/Encoder and wanted to use it with the FOC mini but I’m having some concerns. In the guide it says “This BLDC driver board is primarily designed for gimbal motors with the internal resistance of R >10 Ω. Please make sure that your motor fits in this category before deciding to use the SimpleFOCMini.”. The GM3506 has an internal resistance of 5.6Ω±5% so I know it’s under the 10Ω suggestions but is that actually a big real? I’m pretty new at all of this so I wanted to check.

Welcome to the forum.

It will work perfectly well, no problem. I have ran motors with 0.1Ω resistance.

Cheers,
