Is this Magnetic encoder supported via its optional SPI interface?

It is expensive, but I need a slim package with a thru-hole magnet to attach to a NEMA23 type motor. The whole package can’t extend beyond the length of the bottom motor shaft.

If anyone has another option, I will definitely consider.

Also, with these magnetic encoders, I see some options to select the number of commutation poles (0,4,8,etc). I don’t understand what that means in terms of the encoder.
