I have 20 220 ohm wire wound resistors from a edm machine i took apart, so I’m going to use these
How is your work progressing on your drive?
I’ve been researching something similar and putting the ideas on paper for once. Link
@Roiki
Looks similar to what I want to do,
i want to have a modular system with a Backplane Wich carries all the pins from a esp32, 3.3v, 5v, 15v 24v, and DC bus
And then have a DC-dc converter board 24v–>3.3, 5 and 15. Then i want to have a input board for isolated gpio, a MCU board, a ac line voltage to DC bus board with the breaking resistor hardware and DC bus capacitance, 1 board with the encoder interface, and a board with the igbt module.
ATM I’m in the schematic phase and buying all the components.
For the igbt heatsink I’m using a 2he Supermicro server CPU heatsink and for the rectifier and DC brake igbt I’m going to use a 1he Supermicro heatsink (they are around 10-15€ on ebay)
For the Backplane i want to use simple card edge connectors and on the side to them XT60 connectors for the DC bus.
I’m currently working on the power section for me. Can’t really decide what gates to use and should I put ADCs on the board close to the current sensors or try and use the integrated ones. And where should I take the power for the gates.
1200v voltage rating might not be required though.
@Roiki thats how i think im going to do it, the big heatsink has the igbt module and the small one the rectifier, break resistor igbt and the main caps. The front top pcb is mcu the front bottom IO and the bottom middle one the low voltage dc-dc converter board.
Hi I am trying to run a bldc fan and compressor from an lg mini split board that uses two ipm modules, ikcm20l60gd-ds for the compressor and sim6822m for the fan. I had tried to use infineon tle9879 mcu’s to drive the outputs but I couldn’t get them to work correctly. I have soldered the gate drive pins to a jst connector to go to my board.
