Current SimpleFOC Shield V3.x EasyEDA files use INA240 instead of ACS712?

I went through the JLCPCB assembly process and found during part selection that the latest EasyEDA PCB design files seem to incorrectly populate the INA240 parts for current sense and even have the v2.x current sense resistors RCS1 & RCS2 on the PCB layout.

This Shield v3.x webpage
https://docs.simplefoc.com/arduino_simplefoc_shield_fabrication_v3

Says to use this EasyEDA link
https://oshwlab.com/the.skuric/simplefocshield_copy_copy

which leads to PCB files with the INA240 part and v2.x RCS1 and RCS2 current sense resistors? The PCB silkscreen shows v3.7

Is the documentation page linking the wrong EasyEDA project to use? Or am I missing something? I found this when trying to populate the RSC1/2 resistors and realized they shouldn’t be there. Pictures of assembled v3.x boards do not have the RCS1/RCS2 resistors in the layout, so I’m confused.

OK, opening the EasyEDA files from the Shield’s github repo loads the correct PCB version and layout (as far as I can tell).

This seems to be a documentation bug on the Sheild’s v3.2 webpage where it links the wrong EasyEDA project to use.

Hi @twfry , welcome to SimpleFOC!

thanks for reporting it! The next version of the shield is switching back to INA current sense amps, so maybe this is a documentation bug. We‘ll look into it!

Thanks, it might be the documentation links to the EasyEDA project currently being used to develop the next version, the silkscreen said v3.7 which is what first indicated it probably was the wrong board.

BTW, I’ve wanted a board with the DRV8313 and the INA240, is the board currently visible at https://oshwlab.com/the.skuric/simplefocshield_copy_copy complete or mostly complete and usable if I made it? Or is it still in progress with additional items to complete?

Thanks!

I have to refer to @Antun_Skuric on that question

Hi guys!
Yep the new version of the v3.7 is a lot different from the v3.2.
But the fabrication part is more or less the same.

The github page still has the v3.2 on it and I’ll update them so.

The v3.7 is a stable model. It’s well tested and it’s gonna be next release (standard) release going to the github page.
That being said, the v4 version with drv8316 will soon be available:

I’ve just ordered it for testing and this will be the next one that will be available to buy I think. At least officially.
