A1333 sensor performance

Hello SimpleFOC community. This is my first question and hello to everyone.

My question is:
has anyone tested Allegro’s A1333 sensor? I want to use AMS’s encoder IC, but they are quite expensive and there is not enough stock. That’s why I wanted to use the A1333, but I’m not sure about its performance, etc.

It has been used successfully I believe… it needs 5V IIRC which makes it a bit harder to use with most 32 bit MCUs, where you generally run on 3.3V.

You could also take a look at the sensors from MagnTek or also the SC60228 if you’re looking for cheaper options…

As far as I understand, it is compatible with 3.3 V MCU. It has an internal LDO.

Yes, you're right, it uses 3.3V on the ABI and SPI interface by default. You just have to power it with 5V.
