Where to buy motor controllers/shields

Hello to the SimplFOC community.

I’m new here and very interested in this motor control capability, I have a few projects lined up which would benefit from it. I’ve been wanting to buy a controller or shield for some time but every time I look in the shop they are out of stock. Is this now a dead project? I do see that it is possible to buy these items from other sources but, as I’m new to this environment, I want to make sure I get a genuine item which will behave as per the videos.

If I can’t purchase direct from SimpleFOC where am I best to source them? I’m based in the UK and ideally would like a prompt delivery so the closer to me the better but if I have to wait I can accept that.

We are absolutely not a dead project :smiley: - very much alive.

The SimpleFOC shield and SimpleFOC mini can be bought on AliExpress.

Other boards which are specifically marketed as SimpleFOC compatible can be bought from companies like Sparkfun, MakerBase or RobotDigg…

We like to concentrate on the software side, so if there are boards available from other sources that’s fine with us :slight_smile:

I’ve ordered a shield from AliE along with a motor and encoder, hope they don’t take too long to arrive.

I suspect I’ll have more questions after that :slight_smile:
