I’m new to programmatic motor control. I have questions that might be too basic for this forum. Would you recommend I post here or is there some other community that might be more appropriate?

The worst we could say is RTFM (i.e. read the docs and look at the examples)

Just say it, we are a cool community, worst case scenario someone tells you to go read something, preferably with a link, which is still useful advice. BTW I have had success talking to chatgpt sometimes when I find myself in such a situation.
