many thanks for contributing, most of the detail I have is in the bug report #507
SimpleFOCShield v3.2, AS5048 sensor, 12.5Ω (“resistance” from manufacturer’s website)
output values are milliAmps.
I am having great difficulty understanding why voltage control now also fails in a similar fashion. ie motor initalises, ie with clear ~20 degree movement each way , but then ‘failed to notice movement’ and FOC failed/
The code, wiring etc. has not changed. (maybe I am mistaken, but…)
The reason I think it likely a bug, is the output values are large(once gain is adjusted), so the error message seems inappropriate.
NB: init FOC checking sensor output, sensor output is good on its own, but not in current sense.
investigating…. now wfm, codebase looks near identical…resolved
