Stepper motor dose not find offset at startup

I found there is no offset finding step in startup when using stepper, the bldc rotates back and forward after startup. Do you think my stepper runs ok?

Hi @zhangzq71 ,

It’s not moving at all? Because the stepper has a high number of pole pairs, the movement can be very small…

If it really isn’t moving then maybe something is wrong with the configuration so you’re getting no output, or maybe the alignment voltage it too low and you need to increase it a bit…

hi, @runger I am not sure if there is an alignment action in startup but I can see the current draw about 0.2 second then goes normal, after that time the stepper can run, but it seems not running correctly, because there is one or two cogging in each turn. In position mode, it can hold the position when the target is fixed, but if I turn the shaft a bit will cause the motor to keep turning, if I manually hold the shaft roughly in that target position it can hold again.

and I want to know if there is a calibration action at the first use as the other close loop stepper controller did?
